Soul Restore Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in providing trauma-informed counseling services from a Christian perspective. This full-time, remote position allows you to work from home while engaging deeply with clients via telehealth. Key Responsibilities\n

  • Provide trauma-informed counseling and support to individuals, couples, and families, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each client.

  • Incorporate Christian principles and biblical counseling techniques for clients who prefer a faith-centered therapeutic experience.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments of client needs and goals.

  • Engage with community partners, such as local churches, to facilitate referrals and outreach efforts aimed at building your caseload.

  • Collaborate with a team of professionals including social workers and clinical counselors to ensure holistic care and treatment continuity for clients.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, and enter timely progress notes into our electronic health record (EHR) system.

  • Communicate regularly with the center director regarding your scheduling preferences and client availability.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field is required.
  • \n
  • Independently licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Washington, D.C. is mandatory, or you should be within 200 hours of completing your residency for licensure.

  • Strong knowledge of the Bible and competency in biblical counseling techniques.

  • Ability to engage with clients compassionately and maintain confidentiality while adhering to ethical guidelines.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with diverse client populations.

Preferred Experience\n
    \n
  • At least 1 year of experience in trauma counseling is required.
  • \n
  • Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland is highly desirable.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and techniques, and willingness to participate in ongoing training.
  • \n
  • Experience with EMDR therapy preferred, or a commitment to complete EMDR basic training within the first 3 months of employment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience and educational background.
