Unit Staffing Description: Unit secretary staffed during dayshift with occasional nurse externs working as techs

Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling Requirements: Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per schedule, with schedules done in 4-week increments and some self-scheduling
Floating Policy: Contract labor is first to float. If staffing needs arise in other areas, contract labor may be required to float to those assignments
Patient Experience Requirements: Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and their families
Active RN license
Current certifications in ACLS and BLS
Previous ICU experience
Insertion of central lines
Arterial lines
Lumbar punctures
Chest tube insertions
EVD insertions
Required uniform: Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms
